Multi-Track Recorders
- Pro Tools HD
- Digidesign Pro Tools HD systems are the new standard DAW for professional recording studios. Offering tremendous flexibility in a prestine digital environment, artists are no longer restrained by the limits of traditional recording techniques. Free to try out a mix or effect, move a chorus to a song, artists find Pro Tools to be an incredible tool for trying and discovering new options for their recordings. Musicians can now enjoy near-limitless tracks and options.
Legacy
While ECR currently maintains the following legacy recording machines, they are mostly used for transferring older tracks to a new digital format. We recommened using our Pro Tools HD system for all new recording projects.
- Alesis ADAT
- Alesis Digital Audio Tape or ADAT, first introduced in 1991, was used for simultaneously recording eight tracks of digital audio onto magnetic tape. Multiple machines could easily be synchornized to provide even more tracks.
- Otari 24 track 2" tape machine
- Analog 2" tape machines were the industry standard for many years. In recent years they are being replaced by digital audio workstations, like Pro Tools HD, that are more powerful and efficient with a lot less maintenance.
