Chris Schwertzler

Chris Schwertzler started his musical journey in the 4th grade when he began playing the drums. A few years later, Chris picked up the guitar and began to write and record his songs – sparking a great interest in recording and producing music.

In the early 1990's, Chris built himself a modest home recording studio where he began to hone his craft and build a reputation working with local bands. His time became equally split between his studio and working as a live sound engineer where he had the thrill of providing support for so many great artists each night.

By 2000, Chris Schwertzler began working with engineer and producer James Cravero at the Vulgar Entertainment Group label and East Coast Recording Company. Over the years, Chris has worked with such renowned bands as The Presidents of the United States, Andrew W.K., Maroon 5, John Browns Body, They Might be Giants Ben Kweller, The Shanghai Restoration Project, and Doug Grigsby (Teena Marie, Taj Mahal, Michael Jackson) to name a few.

Today, Chris is a member of NARAS and continues to work with local and national bands as an engineer, producer and session musician. Schwertzler's veratility makes him a true asset to the East Coast Recording Company.
